Changing the mouse-wheel zoom orientation in AutoCAD or Inventor.

Many users are confused by the opposite directions of wheel zooming used in AutoCAD and in Inventor. They behave just the opposite way.
You can switch the orientation in both applications so you can choose your preferred way of zooming in/out by wheel-rotation away/to you.

In AutoCAD you can either use the Re-Wheel ARX utility (older versions) or the ZOOMWHEEL variable (since AutoCAD 2007) to switch the sense of your mouse wheel (as in Inventor).

In Inventor you can change the wheel direction in Registry. In:
HKCU\Software\Autodesk\Inventor\RegistryVersionxx\System\Preferences\Display
set the Viewing Command Options DWORD key to 2 or 3 to make the mouse behave as in AutoCAD. Restart Inventor after the change.
