COMPANY PROFILEWe are a leading provider of innovative professional cleaning solutions, who has offices in the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, China, as well as manufacturing facilities in the United States, Germany and India.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The China CAD Designer will report to the China Engineering Manager.
S/he will work directly with design engineers globally to implement cost reduction projects, design new products and redesign existing products, organize all the engineering documentation, and be involved in technical discussion and qualification tests.
Responsibilities
• Create 3D models and drawings utilizing primarily SolidWorks 2009 from sketches, existing drawings, products, electronic images, and verbal and written communications from design engineers.
• Manage and control the engineering documentation globally including checking the documentation created internally and via outsourcing for accuracy and completeness.
• Work with design engineers to set up test system, perform tests on engineering samples and submit test reports;
• Provide SolidWorks expertise and trouble shooting on SolidWorks application related issues.
• Take the ownership of the office equipment and be a liaison to local IT provider when it malfunctions.
Requirements
• At least three years’ experience in product drawing and design, preferably within a global manufacturing environment.
• Experience with diverse materials, such as plastics, metals, and fabrics are preferred.
• Must have at least three years’ SolidWorks experience. Advanced or expert-level capability is required.
• China CAD Designer must have excellent communication skills and be very organized.
• Hand-on experience with qualification tests on engineering samples would be a significant plus.

• Individuals who have global perspective, experience and backgrounds.
• Proficient Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook skills
Language Skill
• Technical conversation level of written and spoken English language is required.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English.
• Ability to translate technical drawing requirements and specifications which are written in English into Chinese and communicate information to China vendors
